নিম্নলিখিত বাক্যগুলোর মধ্যে শুধুমাত্র “The color of his eyes is dark.” বাক্যটিই সম্পূর্ণ শুদ্ধ:

-“Do you know where is the restaurant?”:
এখানে প্রশ্নবোধক বাক্যে শব্দের সঠিক বিন্যাস নেই। ইংরেজি ‘Indirect question’ হলে ‘where the restaurant is’ হতে হবে; সরাসরি প্রশ্নে ‘Do you know where the restaurant is?’ বলতেই হবে।

-“Are you agree to me?”:

এখানে ‘here’ শব্দটি প্রয়োগ অনুচিত; ‘here’ বদলে ‘her’e ব্যবহারের চেষ্টা হলেও বাতুলতা থেকে যায়। অর্থ ও ব্যাকরণ সচেতনায় উচিত ‘A boat with her people is missing.’ বা স্পষ্ট করতে ‘A boat carrying her people is missing.’।

বিপরীতে, “The color of his eyes is dark.” বাক্যে –
১. বিষয়-ক্রিয়া (subject-verb) সঙ্গতি বজায় আছে (“color … is”),
২. ‘of his eyes’ দ্বারা ‘color’ পরিষ্কারভাবে নির্দিষ্ট,
৩. ‘dark’ শব্দটি সম্পূর্ণ স্বাভাবিক পদ্ধতিতে বর্ণনার কাজ করেছে,
৪. কোন অনুচিত শব্দ-আবলি বা প্রিপজিশন নেই।

সব ক্ষেত্রেই বাক্যগঠন ও শব্দবিন্যাস ছন্দময়, তাই এটিই একমাত্র সম্পূর্ণ সঠিক বাক্য।

সারসংক্ষেপ:
“Do you know where is the restaurant?” এ ওয়ার্ড অর্ডার,
“Are you agree to me?” এ ‘agree’ ব্যবহারে ভুল,
“A boat with here people are missing.” এ ‘here’–‘her’e মিল নয় ও অর্থবোধ অনিশ্চিত।
