না: He asked us where were we going.
তাই এখানে “where we were going” হবে সঠিক।

৪) অন্য অপশনগুলোর ভুলের কারণ
- “are we going” ব্যবহার করলে সেটা সরাসরি প্রশ্নবোধক (inverted) present continuous থাকবে, reported speech–এ সঠিক নয়।
- “we are going” backshift হয়নি, তেমনি present continuous–এই আছে। reported speech–এ আবশ্যক backshift।
- “were we going” হতে গেলে word order প্রশ্নের মতো থাকবে, যা reported speech–এ গ্রহণযোগ্য নয়।
